On Oct. 30 and 31, St. Mary’s County BCI detectives and St. Mary's County Sheriff’s Office Special Operations Division personnel will be conducting a joint operation with the Division of Parole and Probation. They will be checking registered sex offenders in our community, who are under the supervision of Parole and Probation, to ensure the offenders have no Halloween decorations, are distributing no treats, and have a visible sign displayed indicating that no candy is available at the residence. These requirements are only for those Registered Sex Offenders who are under Department of Parole and Probation supervision. Any questions pertaining to sex offenders may be directed to Detective Bill Raddatz at (301)475-4200 ext. 1958. |
