On June 25, at 2:47 p.m., Tpr. R. Jackson responded to the 21000 block of Great Mills Road in Lexington Park for the reported attempted theft under $500.

Tpr. Jackson made contact with the female complainant, 54 of St. Inigoes.  She advised she had her van parked off Great Mills Road selling hard crabs.  She further advised an unknown black male, between the age of 30-50, approximately 5 feet 6 inches tall, weighing 165 lbs attempted to steal a bushel of crabs.

The suspect was last seen wearing white “T” shirt, kahki pants and white tennis shoes.  He grabbed a bushel of crabs and attempted to flee on foot.  The victim grabbed the bushel of crabs and the male suspect released them and continued to flee on foot.  The victim advised the suspect has been seen in the area previously and also stole a bushel of crabs from her in the past.

The investigation continues.
