ST. MARY'S COUNTY - 6/23/2009

Printer friendly

On June 21, St. Mary's County Deputy Boyer observed a vehicle he thought matched the description of a vehicle reported stolen the day prior.  The driver of the vehicle noticed Deputy Boyer watching him and attempted to evade Boyer’s observation.  Deputy Boyer stopped the vehicle and approached the driver.  The vehicle was not the same vehicle reported stolen.

As Deputy Boyer was speaking with the driver, Clifton Earl Williams, Jr., 19 of Aquasco, Deputy Boyer detected an odor of marijuana.  Further investigation revealed a quantity of marijuana and suspected crack cocaine in the vehicle.

Williams was arrested and charged with two counts of possession of a controlled dangerous substance – marijuana and crack cocaine.
