Man Charged with Child Abuse Throws 13-Year-Old into Wall

On June 21, deputies responded to Hermanville Road in Lexington Park, for a report of a fight in progress. 

The 13-year-old female victim reported Wesley Aaron Scriber, 45 of Callaway, grabbed her by the throat, picked her off the floor and slammed her into a wall because Scriber believed she pushed her younger sibling.  The victim suffered injuries to her throat, face and elbow.  When another adult, in the residence, attempted to intervene and stop the assault Scriber pulled the victim’s hair and pushed the victim. 

Scriber fled the residence prior to the Deputies arrival but was located a short time later, arrested and charged with child abuse and second-degree assault.

I hope this guys gets everything he deserves! Kids fight...that is no reason to do that to the child! What is that showing them? Violence is ok????? I have three kids and if I did that every time they fight, the police might as well stay at my house! Hope the girl is ok.

Yeah, this guy is setting a great example for his kids to follow if they are his kids. Cripes what kid deserves to be treated like that. Keep him in the clink!!

what was missing from this story was the fact that it was his daughter and it was Father's Day!!

13 YEAR OLD KIDS CAN CARRY A POWERFUL PUNCH.HE HAD A LOT ON HIS MIND. A RECENT LOST.IM SURE HE DID NOT MEAN IT. "HE JUST SNAPPED". HAVE YOU NEVER DONE ANYTHING YOU DID NOT MEAN.LET THE COURTS HANDLE IT .YOU ARE NOT IN CHARGE OF THIS. NOW SHUT UP !!!

You must be an *** idiot! NO kid deserves to be treated like that! OMG! Sure I have done things I don't mean to do but it sure was not against my kids and they argue all the time! I hope he is still in jail and they throw the keye away!!!!! You must be related or something...maybe they should take you with them too.

I am pretty sure that since this A-Hole's story made the news on TBN, it is now everybody's business. How can you tell people to stay out of it? Get real or get bent. No child deserves to be treated like that.

Yes we have all done things that we don't mean but to grab your child by the throat and slam her against the wall hard enough to leave marks on her throat, face and elbow is unacceptable. That's just plain abuse. I have three children and even at my worst moment I couldn't imagine slamming them against the wall. Children are supposed to feel safe in their home.

did you even pass 5th grade grammar? He had a recent LOST? What does that mean? Do you mean LOSE? BTW, it's have you EVER done anything, not NEVER done anything. I agree with mrniceguy, once it's on TBN, it's everyones business. Also, what does carrying a powerful punch have to do with this story? Was the girl 6'2"/250 lbs.? Guess if he picked her up by the throat, I would say NOT!
