Seat Belt Violation Leads to DUI, Cocaine Bust

On May 28, at approximately 1:09 a.m., Trooper B. Sorenson was patrolling the area of southbound U.S. Route 301, north of Vernon Road when he observed the driver, Mark Allan Buckler, 37 of North Beach, driving a white Toyota Corolla and not restrained by a seat belt. 

Trooper Sorenson stopped the vehicle; detected a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage emitting from Buckler’s breath.  Buckler was arrested and charged with DUI, numerous traffic violations, possession of a controlled dangerous substance cocaine; possession of a controlled dangerous substance marijuana and possession of paraphernalia.
