Drugs Found on Teen in Lot of Park and Ride

On May 28 at 12:58 a.m., a Charles County Sheriff’s officer was conducting a routine patrol check at the Smallwood Park and Ride in Waldorf when he observed a male in the parking lot.

Upon approaching the male, the officer smelled a strong odor of marijuana. The subject was checked and the officer found three bags of marijuana in the male’s pocket. As the officer initiated an arrest, the subject pulled away and a struggled ensued.

The suspect, a juvenile male, was eventually subdued and charged with resisting arrest and possession of marijuana. Officer M. Hancock made the arrest.
