Tiki Weekend DUI Roundup in St. Mary's County

In an ongoing effort to get drunk drivers off the roadways the St. Mary's County Sheriff's Office, in cooperation with the Maryland State Police, Leonardtown Barrack and the Calvert County Sheriff’s Office conducted a border to border driving while intoxicated saturation patrols from April 17 through April 19.

Driving While Intoxicated Saturation Patrols are set up to identify impaired drivers and are funded by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.

The results of the border to border patrol for the Maryland State Police, Leonardtown Barrack and the St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office as follows:

Total Number of Vehicle Stopped     147
Total DUI Arrests                             15
Total Suspended Driver Citations        6
Total Speeding Citations                    6
Total Other Citations                          2

Total Criminal Arrests                        2
Total Warrant Arrests                        2
