Off-Duty Police Officer Injured in Accidental Shooting

On March 20 at 7:26 a.m., officers responded to the WaWa at 4210 Crain Highway in White Plains, for the report of an accidental shooting.

Investigation revealed the victim, an off-duty police officer with the Pentagon Force Protection Agency, had un-holstered his handgun and was exiting his car when the gun discharged striking him in the leg.

The officer was transported to a hospital where he was admitted with a non life-threatening injury. No one else was injured.
