Man Killed Crossing Route 4

On March 6 at approximately 10:17 p.m., members of the Calvert County Sheriff’s Office Crash Reconstruction Unit responded to Md. Route 4 northbound and Plum Point Road for the report of a pedestrian struck.
Upon arrival it was determined that the victim, John Russell Drinks, Sr., 46 of North Beach, was crossing Md. Route 4 when he was struck by a vehicle traveling northbound. Drinks was pronounced dead on the scene due to injuries sustained in the crash. The driver, a 73-year-old woman from Owings, remained on the scene.
The investigation is on-going and being handled by DFC Christopher Childress of the Crash Reconstruction Unit.
