According to St. Mary's County Sheriff's Office, Sgt. Walker pulled over a blue Dodge truck on Feb. 27, in the area of Clover Hill Road and Route 235 in Hollywood, when he thought he recognized the passenger in the vehicle as someone with an outstanding warrant. When the car stopped, the passenger, Izella Edgar Bush, 40,  jumped out of the vehicle and fled on foot into the woods and knocked on the door of an elderly couple to say that he had been involved in an accident. The couple let the suspect in and was granted permission to use the phone.

Once Bush was inside the home, it is unclear if he hid any money, drugs or possibly even a handgun. A perimeter was set up around the home by St. Mary's Sheriffs and Maryland State Police.  Bush then called some acqaintences,(the two men driving the Cadillac). After the Cadillac was seen driving past the scene multiple times, that vehicle was stopped by authorities and the two men in the Cadillac were questioned and detained .

Authorities were able to apprehend the suspect (Bush), and it was confirmed that he was wanted on an outstanding warrant for his arrest (six counts of theft). According to the State of Maryland, Bush has an extensive police record. Bush was arrested, served with the open warrant and additionally charged with false name to a police officer and resisting arrest

The driver of the Dodge was also checked and it appears that his driver's license was suspended. During the check a controlled dangerous substance was discovered and the driver of the Dodge was also taken into custody.

A routine traffic stop in Hollywood soon escalated into a full blown police chase when the driver bailed from the car and ran into the woods on Clover Hill Road. Multiple police units gave foot pursuit and the suspect was found and taken into custody around 1 p.m. No further details are available at this time. As authorities release the official version to the media, the details will be released.
