School Bus Accident in Laurel Grove

Police on the scene report that the accident was
was only minor and that no children were
 reported injured.

At approximately 8:45 a.m., St. Mary's County Public Schools Bus no. 608 was involved in a fender bender with a single passenger car. There were 11 children on board being transported. No children were reported hurt according to police on the scene. The driver of the passenger car suffered minor injuries.

Responding units at the time were so overwhelmed with multiple accidents, that transport vehicles were difficult to assign. At one point dispatchers attempted to get an ambulance from Charles to cover the accident, but none were available. Finally, Mechanicsville Volunteeer

 
A single car collided with bus No. 608 in Laurel
Grove.
Rescue responded once they were clear of an earlier accident.

The cause of the accident is still under investigation at this time.
