Subway Robbed, Armed Suspect Escapes

On Nov. 16 at 9:40 p.m., officers responded to the Subway sandwich shop at 2112 Crain Highway in Waldorf for the report of a robbery. Investigation revealed the suspect entered the business, displayed a knife and demanded money from the clerk. The clerk complied and the suspect fled on foot to the rear of the business. A K-9 track led to a nearby neighborhood. At the time of the robbery, the suspect was wearing sunglasses, a ski mask, black gloves and an Anaheim Mighty Ducks sports jacket (purple, teal and black). Officer B. Moore is handling the investigation. Charles County Crime Solvers offers rewards of up to $1,000 for information about a crime in Charles County that leads to an arrest or indictment.
