Subway Robbed, Armed Suspect Escapes

On Nov. 16 at 9:40 p.m., officers responded to the Subway sandwich shop at 2112 Crain Highway in Waldorf for the report of a robbery.

Investigation revealed the suspect entered the business, displayed a knife and demanded money from the clerk. The clerk complied and the suspect fled on foot to the rear of the business. A K-9 track led to a nearby neighborhood. At the time of the robbery, the suspect was wearing sunglasses, a ski mask, black gloves and an Anaheim Mighty Ducks sports jacket (purple, teal and black).

Officer B. Moore is handling the investigation.
