Teens Set Fully Loaded School Bus on Fire

Maryland State Fire Marshall’s Southern Regional Office is investigating an arson case in Charles County.

Firefighters responded to the 16000 block of
Prince Frederick Road in Hughesville, on Nov. 7, around 3:30 p.m., to find a bus on fire.

Investigation revealed, two 13-year-old males had set some items on fire on a Charles County Public School bus # 560 on the afternoon of Nov. 7. The bus was occupied at the time, but no injuries were reported.

The juveniles were released to the custody of their parents and will be referred to the Charles County Department of Juvenile Services for disposition.
