Roam if you want to! International Education Week travels to St. Mary’s College of Maryland from Oct. 6 through 10, bringing entertainment and festivities to the campus and community, as well as opportunities for studying abroad. 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.: Documentary Film, “Tubabs in Africa” by Yellow Cat Productions 8 p.m.: South African Film “Tsotsi,” an Oscar winner for Best Foreign Film of the Year Tuesday, Oct. 7: Asia4:30 p.m. to 5 p.m.: Research grant: theater in Japan and the upcoming Kyôgen plays, hosted by Ian Prince 5 p.m.: Kimono demonstration on the Campus Center patio, hosted by Kathryn Miller and Judy Sellner 8 p.m.: Japanese hit film, “Paprika” Wednesday, Oct. 8: Europe10 a.m. to 3 p.m.: Apply for U.S. Passport at Campus Center 205. Appropriate documents required. 8 p.m.: Italian film, “Cinema Paradiso,” hosted by Mark Heidrich Thursday, Oct. 9: Latin America4:15 p.m. to 5:45 p.m.: Documentary viewing and discussion: “Faces of Hope” with Prof. Debbie O’Donnell, Prof. Scott Leary, and Aime Mugabonihera 4:30 to 6 p.m.: Salsa 101: Featuring Donna’s BodyShakers, Campus Center patio 8 p.m.: Brazilian film, “City of God” |
